What would you do?

You're out to dinner. It's the beginning of the meal. You just got your drinks. You don't realise your cup is overfull and you stir it too enthusiastically. Two ice cubes end up on the table.

Judging from the amount of time it took to get your drinks, these ice cubes will be melted before anyone could come take care of them. You do not have a bread plate, just the one your dinner is going to go on. The table is small, the restaurant is crowded, and dropping them on the floor would probably create a slipping hazard.

What do you then do with the ice cubes?

If you're me, you pick them up, look around and realize there don't seem to be any good options here. Then you wipe them off with your napkin, figure the table germs have melted off by now, and drop them back in the glass, because... there just isn't anywhere else to store ice at your table.

I did not wait around and then ask for a new beverage since I put ice cubes that had been on the table back into my glass. I just drank it anyway.

Drew seemed to find this par for the course as far as having me as a dining companion goes, but maybe not what everyone else would do.

So, what would you have done?
