The surgery went great. They got all of the visible or palpable tumors out of Mom. We (she and I) spent the night in the ICU last night. Here in central Kentucky they only kick visitors out of the ICU for 90 minutes twice a day. So, I slept on a chair with my feet on the wall and my head on Mom's bed.
Then my aunt picked me up during the morning 90 minutes of no visitors, took me to the hotel room and gave me a pillow and a blanket. I slept for three and a half more hours. Now I am trying to decide what I want to eat for lunch before I get back to the hospital.
Mom's in great spirits and seems to be doing really well.
