Recovery is now underway! The surgery is over. Mom is now short a few internal organs, five liters (!!) of fluid from her abdomen and many tumors. In exchange, she got two temporary drains. Slightly educated guesses are that she lost about fifteen pounds in surgery and dropping that load alone has to make her feel better when she wakes up. From here it's three to six months of chemo.
It's Stage Three Ovarian Cancer we're battling here. Kicking its ass is going to take a long time and be really hard, but we're off to a good start.
