It's finally consistently below ninety degrees here. Which, naturally, means that in other parts of the country people are wearing coats. That seems completely unbelievable to me. I think I've gotten used to the weather always being the same.
Yes, sometimes it's warm and sometimes it's hot and sometimes it feels like living on the surface of the sun, but it's almost always warm and sunny here.
The idea that leaves are changing colors in other places? Again, hard to fathom. A rainy day? What? Like all day long? Not just for an hour or two? And not just after dark? That still happens?
I talked to Mom today and she sounded really just great. Her surgeon apparently used the word "optimal" when descibing the surgery. So, now comes chemo and that's going to be rough. But recovery is happening! Right now! She's on it, kicking cancer's ass.
