Somebody Hold Me
Y'all! Y'ALL. I just got an e mail inviting me to a TEN YEAR high school reunion. I am SO OLD. First I had to turn twenty-five and now this? In one year? Being a child prodigy SUCKS.
My mom goes to high school reunions. My grandmother went to high school reunions. (You have no idea how cute my grandma was talking about her 65 year high school reunion...) I am clearly NOT grown up enough to have a DOUBLE DIGIT high school reunion. (We did not have a five year, possibly because the entire class seemingly still lives in Cincinnati.)
As a testament to how tiny my high school is and how bad people are at moving away, it was addressed to BOTH the class of 95 and the class of 96 and it's also in, uh, three weeks. In Cincinnati.
The writer only mentioned the class of 95. Maybe I'm not really supposed to be invited...
If anyone needs me, I'll be over in the kitchen making myself a nice stiff drink and contemplating my lost youth. Because I am suddenly eleventy-frillion years old.
